Re: any word.. |
I can always do that!
It's kinda sad, really... this used to be a much livelier forum! Something strange has happened, and I can't put my finger on it.

Me neither. Matthew, who was basically a founding father to the forum, you never hear from much and it seems the majority of people (does not include you Lynn and few others)seem to frown on folks who don't upload material of which I tried numerous times and the thing I put in, was taken down. Heavy sigh!

Re: any word.. |
Hey Sir Bob, I am quite sure that nobody here minds whether someone has uploaded or not. We all know that you would if you could, It doesnt matter as you are our most avid viewer and the things I have upped are for your enjoyment.
Are you on wifi? I know I cannot upload thru a wifi connection, Also the new Share button works very well, you just need to wait to click the share my files button making sure the upload box says the file(s) are complete and all the info boxes are filled out.
Also Miss Lynn, I havent forgotten you, I am working close to home for the next 2 weeks and I will get to the post Office in a day or two.
Mike D.

Re: any word../Dear Lum |
I am on a traditional desktop. When I go to the new share files, I do what you say but I never see files complete. I let it run all night and even into one time into half the next
day. Honestly Mike, I can't seem to get the hang of it!

Re: any word.. |
Quigs, I would be more than happy to help with uploading if you're having problems. I can send you some blank DVDs if you want to burn stuff (as a regular data file) and send them back to me... I would be most happy to help in any way, shape or form!

Re: any word.. |
That would be very kind of you, Lynn. I got an idea to burn a DVD of westerns (Bat Masterson, Annie Oakley etc.) I got the blank ones. How shall we go about it? The cost of sending it to you is nominal.

Re: any word.. |
When I get home, I'll type up how to do it...
I just didn't want you to wait to see that I read your message. Hey, we all do what we can to help each other out, ya know? As the song says, "That's what friends are for!"
But, since we're waiting for me to get home... do you know what program you use to burn stuff to either CD or DVD?
Are these files on your computer, or are they on DVD already? If they're on DVD, and you're wanting to rip them and then post them, I can do all that. If not, then I can show you what you need to know... and if I can't, I'm sure good ol' Lum can help me out, right?? (he's a whiz at this stuff!)

Re: any word.. |
yes, I burn DVD's to make a copy of the original DVD on Clone DVD. To make a DVD from IA I use DVD Super Creator. The Creator stuff I burn from my hard drive and then erase the files of the downloads from IA that I used for to make my DVD.
Lynn, didn't you say something about your address? How are going to do that? My e-mail address is Robertq52@yahoo.com and send it here.
